Designer, builder, and creative lead
behind Mad House
blending bold ideas with real-world know-how to create spaces that are as functional as they are beautiful.
Hey, I’m Madeline Rose — the self-taught creative force behind Mad House Interiors. My path to interior design has been a bit of a wild ride, starting in fashion, diving into art installations, and crafting immersive experiential events before landing in the world of spaces and interiors. I have a real passion for fashion—most of my closet is vintage or made by me, and I love weaving those same personal, eclectic elements into the spaces I design.
I’m all about mixing warm, layered textures with modern style to create rooms that don’t just look good but feel like home—personal, vibrant, and totally lived-in. I believe good design isn’t about following one style or sticking to a single approach; it can be any medium, any vibe, but you just know it when you see it.
When I’m not designing, you’ll find me soaking up nature’s beauty, sewing, painting, or spending quality time with my people—those moments that make life feel full and meaningful. After some time away, I moved back to Colorado to be near the community and landscapes that spark my creativity every day.
I might come off as “cool” at first glance, but get to know me and you’ll find a total nerd who loves a good game of Catan and deep conversations about everything from design to philosophy to space. For me, great design is all about building trust and relationships—I want you to feel confident that I’m here not just to create a beautiful space, but to bring your dream home to life, with style, heart, and a little fun sprinkled in.

FAQ’S
&
ANSWERS
-
My ideal clients are homeowners and business owners who are ready to commit to a vision and trust the process. I work best with people who want more than a Pinterest board brought to life — people who are looking for real character and a space that actually feels like them. If you know you want something special but aren't sure how to get there, that's exactly where I come in. Every project starts with a conversation.

We start with a discovery call to see if we're the right fit, then move into a paid design consultation where we dig into your space, your goals, and your budget. From there I put together a proposal scoped to your project. Once we're off and running, I handle everything — sourcing, contractor coordination, procurement, and all the decisions that come up along the way. You stay looped in without having to manage it yourself.

Lead time is real — we recommend reaching out at least a few months before you're hoping to get started. But let's have a conversation! As for timeline, it really depends on scope. A room refresh or smaller project can move quickly. A full renovation with structural changes, custom orders, and contractor work takes longer. I'll always give you a realistic picture upfront, because I'd rather set honest expectations than overpromise and underdeliver. Some of the best projects I've done took longer than anyone planned — and were completely worth it.

It totally depends on the scope of your project — every home and every client is different, so there's no one-size-fits-all answer. What I can tell you is that investing in full-service design saves you time, costly mistakes, and the headache of managing it all yourself — and the result is a home that actually looks and feels intentional.
